*For time's sake, I will post a very short synopsis and some questions/thoughts for reflection/discussion.

The Lord has Jeremiah go to the potter's house and observe the potter forming clay, which He compares to Israel and Himself. However, they have refused to repent when He corrected them, so the Lord tells Jeremiah to prophesy disaster; they will be led away captive to Babylon.

There is a passage where the Lord says if He prophesies disaster and a nation changes, He will relent; if He prophesies blessings and people turn to evil, He will also relent from the good He intended to do. He is more than willing to show kindness and mercy, but often people do not have regard for Him and push Him too far. We need a holy, reverential fear and awe of God to return in our day. This will be evident in how we treat people, especially the poor and needy.
